Rose Quartz + Serenity
The 2016 Pantone Color of the Year is out, and SURPRISE...it's not one, but TWO colors! For the first time ever, Pantone has chosen to blend two colors for the color of the year. The warmth of the Rose Quartz paired with the tranquility of the cool blue Serenity creates a delicate, calm combo that can stand up next to bolder colors like fig, russet, or navy.
But pastels can be scary. Right...?
Wrong! Smokey pastels pair perfectly with grays and black for those who like to stay neutral (me!! hello, black, black, and more black!). They also work perfectly with other pastels like lavender fog, opal blue, and peach quartz for an all-over soft, feminine look. For a bold pairing, mix rose quartz and serenity with maroon, tourmaline, or rich gold.
Lucy, Beyond Yoga, Alo, Spiritual Gangster, and Jiva, among others, have all included variations of Rose Quartz and Serenity in their Spring 2016 collections. Spring styles have already started arriving, and we can't wait to pair these pretty pastels with our favorite bolds, brights, and basics!
